Carlos-Acosta,LCSWCarlos has been active in the social service field since 1990. He has previously worked as a Child Welfare Advanced Specialist, Clinical Screener for NIU, and Crisis Counselor. Carlos, being fluent in Spanish, has experience working with diverse populations and cultures. He focuses on recognizing the strengths we all have and common traits that bind us together, while offering concrete tools to resolve our differences. Carlos is adept at listening and clarifying feelings we have for ourselves, our family, or others that are important in our lives. He has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2005, earned his B.S. in Leisure Studies, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his M.A. in Social Service Administration, University of Chicago.

Dan is experienced as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and is a trained, court-approved divorce mediator, Nationally Certified Parenting Coordinator, and a Certified Anger Management Specialist. He is trained as a child custody evaluator and is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Professional Academy of Custody Experts, the National Anger Management Association, the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science and the Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association. Dan has been a live-in houseparent to over forty abused or neglected children. He also has been a foster parent, a consultant to group homes and foster homes, and a Clinical Director. He earned his B. A. in Psychology at Trinity College and his M. A. in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College.

He has a Master’s degree from National-Louis University. He has worked in a variety of settings including disaster recovery, workplace coaching, and systems engineering. Eric has several years of working with college and high school students, couples, changing careers, and adolescent adoption issues. Eric is passionate about helping people see and create new options in their lives through their faith, families, and support relationships.

Marcie’s sincere hope is to guide clients toward a rediscovery of their strengths and a renewed connection to their feelings and toward their values. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has worked for over 20 years in the field, with a variety of ages, from 5-80 years old. Marcie is fluent in American Sign Language and has experience in working with individuals who are Deaf and hard of hearing and those with other disabilities such as ADHD and Learning Disabilities.

She graduated in 1996 with a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Northeastern Illinois University. Michelle believes in the innate goodness and resilience of people, and the capacity to make positive changes in their lives. She considers it an honor and privilege to accompany clients on their personal journeys and to be a part of their healing and growth. She challenges clients to be the best they can be, and takes a collaborative and interactive approach to jointly set realistic, achievable goals.

Sara_Price-LCSWis a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Sara specializes in trauma, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, women’s issues and binge eating disorders. She is also trained in EMDR. Sara believes it is important to feel safe, understood and respected when you walk through a therapist’s door and tell your story. She helps each person build a strong connection with his or her own inner wisdom. Sara works to identify the source of one’s pain, and then find relief and resolution as effectively as possible.
